The seven "deadly" secrets of Google AdSense.

Anybody heard the story about the panda who wanted to learn the much-coveted 7 deadly AdSense secrets? It went like this…

A panda was in constant awe of the 5 masters of Google AdSense who displayed their mastery of the art by showing off monthly Google checks. He went of to the mysterious mountain to train with the masters and learn their secrets, hoping to make a killing online with a simple twist of the fingers.

Much to his surprise, he got slapped around, told to train real hard, and got slapped around some more. He was baffled too, since each of the masters has a different style and told stories of learning the AdSense art since they were mere tots. Nobody told him it was hard work. All the stories he heard, especially from hawkers of little scrolls purportedly containing the “secrets,” said it is easy and quick to master Google AdSense and, subsequently, the ultimate art of making money online.

Dejected, the panda went home to become a burger-flipper as his father wanted him to be, “might as well master the secret-ingredient-burger,” he thought. Seeing how sad his son is, his father decided to share his secret ingredient to cheer him up, “Sonny boy, there is no secret ingredient with the patty thingy… if we believe our burger to be the most savory there was, there is, and there ever will be, then it will be the absolutely best anybody will ever taste.”

Enlightened, the panda sat up and thought about his training on the mysterious mountain. It dawned on him that he already possessed the 7 deadly secrets, he only have to believe in himself and his capabilities. Being the cute and cuddly animal that he is, the panda wanted to share his secrets with us.

Secret # 1

The Google search engine and AdSense are like Yin and Yang, bound together by Search Engine Optimization (SEO). We must use ninja SEO techniques (if there is such a thing) to attract visitors from all-knowing Google. Several wise masters of the northern Make-Money-Online-with-AdSense school have affirmed this. However, be forewarned, do not use the way of the iron monkey (stealthy ninja SEO technique) as nothing escapes the attention of the all-seeing Google who will pluck the liver of all those who dare try.

Secret # 2

The best performing AdSense type is the large rectangle, followed by the leaderboard. Both of them are… large and uses the principle that a fighting fan is better in attracting attention than a needle. We position the ad blocks to catch the people’s darting eyes. Honorable AdSense itself has divulged the 5 secret blocking positions in this time-honored scroll…err, heat map.

Secret # 3

The best color for links is–surprise!–BLUE, as in AdSense blue. Using a mysterious mystic art from the East, AdSense has somehow made that kind of blue communicate with a person’s subconscious and whisper, “click me.” Amazing! We don’t need to bother with the default colors if we have a white background, except make sure the ad block does not have a border to impede the flow of a person’s sight. Employing deceptive monkey kung fu techniques to make those links appear like part of our content or menu can only get us in trouble with AdSense’s secret society of click fraud assassins.

Secret # 4

Not all ads were created equal. Some pay better than others per click. Using the lesser known style of the famous ninja SEO technique known as Keywords-AdWords matching, it is possible to channel high paying advertisement to our ad blocks. The technique calls for seeking out keywords that advertisers pay a lot of money for, possibly with the help of AdWord’s keyword research tool, and using those keywords within our content.

Secret # 5

We need to sit in a lotus position, meditate, and try to sense what is happening with our AdSense blocks. Okay, let’s just head over to our AdSense dashboard and put each block under a channel. Channels will allow us to track how ad blocks are doing and optimize their layout, placement, color and related content. AdSense tracking is the name of the game. We can only see into the future, and catch those illusive clicks, by studying the past.

Secret # 6

Only the great dragon warrior can fell an opponent with one blow (and remember, the dragon is a mythical beast). Those of humbler origins and capabilities will need many strikes. In the same manner, we need to keep churning out page after page, site after site, in order to take down a Google check worthy of the 5 masters. More content means more pages indexed by Google and greater chances of displaying our ads to a lot of people.

Secret # 7

Finally, the ultimate secret. There is no secret move or technique to become a master of Google AdSense. We need to train hard, work at it, get slapped around, and develop our own fighting system. For every bump and bruise we get, we learn and earn another step that will take us closer to our black belt and beyond. The masters are so called because they have diligently studied their arts for years and evolved their own techniques.

What about the readers? Does anybody have a secret to share?

Disclaimer:

No pandas or monkeys were harmed in writing this article. However, a lot of keywords were slaughtered and strewn about.

What is Google AdSense?

Google describes AdSense as a way for publishers or bloggers and website owners to make money online by displaying contextual (based on-site content) advertising, either text-based or graphical, that are relevant to the topic of the web page. Google AdWords is the opposite or advertiser’s side of AdSense.

Google AdSense is free for publishers to join, simply create an account and login. Once we start displaying ads in our pages and someone clicks on them, we earn money.

How does Google AdSense work?

AdSense is an example of a Pay Per Click (PPC) affiliate program that uses traffic generated from Pay Per Click (PPC) search engine marketing. The basic steps needed to make of use of AdSense are the following:

  1. Study a subject we know about using an online tool like the free WordTracker gtrends keyword research tool. A high Actual # of Visitors and low Google Competition is the preferred niche.
  2. Register a domain name with the keyword for the niche we want to target. Check for domain name availability with Instant-Domain-Name-Search. Don’t forget to check the kept search private option.
  3. Register with a web host and install a website. It is recommended to use WordPress.
  4. Create keyword-focused content. It is best to read about keywords and search engine optimization (SEO).
  5. Do search engine marketing and drive Google traffic to our sites. Again, studying SEO will help.
  6. Create AdSense account and place Google AdSense script in our website. There are various ways of positioning them. The AdSense heat map will help us where to place them.
  7. Track the clicks on our AdSense block using the channel options in our dashboard. Experiment with ad placement to find out where the most number of clicks happened.

As we can see, to make money with Google Adsense is feasible but it is not easy.  With hard work, we can hope for $300.00 a month for every website we have in 3 years. With luck, a 5 figure income is possible as several AdSense success stories has proved. Remember RMO’s formula for success:  sow + nurture = reap a rich harvest.
How does Google Adsense match ads to our content?

Google AdSense ads are contextual or appears based on the content of our sites. Here are some important considerations when trying to match our content with advertisements:

  1. It is specifically keywords the AdSense bots look for in every page. Advertisers buy keywords through AdWords and when we use the same keywords in our content, their advertisement appears in our ad blocks.
  2. AdSense matches  ads and contents for every page, not for the whole site.
  3. AdSense links or ads, and thus the clicks’, pricing depend on how popular they are and how much the advertisers paid for them. We can target high-paying clicks by using keywords  that will deliver high-priced ads to our AdSense blocks.
  4. AdSense also takes the location of our visitors into account when serving ads. So a visitor from France may see ads in French or from French companies, while U.S. visitors see theirs in English or from U.S. companies.

Quick AdSense tips for beginners.

  1. Google AdSense bots loves text-filled pages. They use text to  assess what ads are interesting to our visitors.
  2. There is a feature in AdSense to check the appearance of our ads. Don’t click on our own ads on a live site.
  3. It will take some time for AdSense bots to index our sites so ads do not appear instantly.
  4. Bookmark Google’s online help pages for AdSense (https://www.google.com/adsense/online-help).

How to cheat AdSense.

This got everyone’s attention. With programs like Google AdSense, there might come an urge to try to find a way to get earn more money online from it. Our advice is treat our AdSense account with respect and care and not even think about committing click fraud. Similar programs are called alternatives because there simply is nothing like AdSense.  If we get our Goggle AdSense account disabled, it is for good.

In addition, somebody who will game AdSense may benefit from their nefarious activities in a short period but their system catches on quickly. In the long run, AdSense gaming is bad for us all as it will become more difficult for us to make money from AdSense even in legitimate ways.

Make money at home online with AdSense.

What is AdSense?

AdSense is a way to make money online by placing advertisements in our blogs or websites. AdSense lets publishers or bloggers make money simple and fast without selling anything. It is a service provided by Google, which makes it stable and trusty.

Some webmasters have reported earning a lot of money thru AdSense. However, they have been in the game for years. For newbies, it is best to expect AdSense earnings of $2-3 per day. As our content and ranking grows, our income will follow.

AdSense is contextual, meaning the ads that shows in the ad block are related to the subject of a particular web page. It does not work for all kinds of blogs or websites. It is best to use AdSense if most visitors of our blogs or websites came from Google and other search engines.

How do we use AdSense?

It is easy to make use of AdSense, simply follow the steps:

  1. AdSense is a Google service and we need to have a Gmail account. Go get one here.
  2. Sign up for AdSense here. The sign-up page is also our login page.
  3. Follow the instructions to put some JavaScript code into the template of our blog or website.  If we are using a blog platform or a Content Management System (CMS), there are plugins or widgets that make this simple.

When visitors from Google come to our web page, they see ads that automatically adjust to its content. When they click on an ad link, Google counts that click and we get rewarded for it. The clicks we get usually depends on the composition of our visitors (the more web savvy crowd are less likely to click on AdSense), the source of our visitors (those coming from the search engines are more likely to click), and the position or location of the ad blocks.

A word of caution, do not try to cheat AdSense. Many have tried and failed, resulting in banned accounts.
